EAGLE'S NEST CLUB

On 19th August, 2007 the Eagles Nest Club (a recognized club of Manna Mission Church) was revived under the auspices of the Holy Ghost and with the approval of Rev. Dr. Seth Ablorh, President of Manna Mission Incorporated.

Meeting Days

The meeting days of the group will be Saturdays 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Frontage of the Computer Room of Manna Mission Academy.

Vision & Mission

The Vision of the Club shall be the same as that of the church which is three fold;

  1. Evangelism
  2. Mission
  3. Discipleship

There shall be a greater emphasis on Discipleship and the merging of Social and Christian activities. Thus, a holistic approach to life will be the focus.

MEMBERSHIP                                                                                                         

The Grade 3 & 4 classes of the Children’s Service are the core members of the club. Anyone within the age range of 11 to 18 years or the equivalent age of JSS 1 to SSS 3 is welcome to join the club. Membership is not limited to only members of Manna Mission Church but ‘whosoever wills’

Every member of the club shall be encouraged and compelled to have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and to be committed to their respective churches as well. Every member shall belong to any of the four divisions through balloting. The various divisions of the club are Love, Joy, Self Control & Kindness culled from the fruit of the Spirit.

Code of conduct

All members of the club shall be encouraged to have a personal relationship with Christ and to accept the Holy Scriptures as the final authority in their lives.

With this preamble in mind, the following behaviors shall be eschewed and abhorred!      

  • Disobedience to authority and parents
  • Lying and stealing
  • Lateness to meetings
  • Fornication & any form of sexual impurity (kissing, intense hugging, sitting on the laps of the opposite sex etc.)
  • The use of abusive and offensive language
  • Fighting and quarreling
  • Indecent exposure (the wearing of miniskirts, clinging and seductive clothes, blouses that expose cleavage etc.)
  • Lingering at the church premises after the closure of a meeting. (All members shall be expected to report at their various homes latest within 45 minutes after the end of each club meeting)
  • ‘Inbreeding‘- defined as exceptionally close relationships between members of the opposite sex
  • Creation of factions outside the four divisions  of the club

Leadership

The teachers of the Children’s Service shall double as the leaders of the club. The Grade 3 and 4 teachers shall be mandatory leaders of the club and will have to be present at every meeting of the club.

Additionally there shall be two heads of the various divisions of the club. The various divisions of the club are Love, Joy, Self Control & Kindness culled from the fruit of the Spirit. Thus there shall be 4 heads and 4 assistants. The heads shall be taken from Grade 4 and the assistants from Grade 3 class. In line with the biblical form of government; Theocracy, the Heads and assistants shall be appointed by the leaders.
